Gluing Hints for Metal Findings
# During the manufacturing process, metal findings are coated with oil. They are degreased, but normally still have a small amount of oil left on the surface. Also, some fired clays have a powdery residue on the surface. Glue and 2-bond dots stick to the powder on top of the clay, instead of the clay itself.
# Whenever possible, use a file to roughen smooth surfaces (such as metal findings). This gives a stronger grip.
# Clean both surfaces to be joined. We recommend using isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab. It's best if you can provide a dry, dust-free environment. This helps assure a secure bond.
# Extreme temperatures might affect the drying time. Use in a well ventilated area.
# Store all adhesives in a cool place.
