FI-1547 25mm Round Ant Copper Filigree w/Centre Hole & 10 loops

Approx. 25mm Antique Copper Filigree with center hole & 10 loops. One sided. Fine quality stamped brass.

  • Inexpensive and fun! All stamped charms are one-sided, thin, and either flat or slightly domed.
  • Raw brass is unplated, plain brass that has been stamped out from a brass sheet on a punch press. Items are "rinsed" in a sheet of dry sawdust to remove grease left behind from the press.
  • Raw brass charms sometimes have a thin coat of oil, so be sure to wash them before gluing. Warm water and detergent (dry to avoid water spots) or alcohol and a cotton ball will do the trick.
  • Raw brass is not quite as shiny as most plated finishes.To make your raw brass items shinier, tumble-polish them with steel shot, water and a burnishing compound (to prevent rust on the shot) in a basic rock tumbler. Rinse well and dry with some agitation (a heat lamp, warm boxwood sawdust or other method will speed drying).
  •  For an antiqued look, try applying an oxidizing solution such as Liver of Sulfur.
