Use 3M Wet & Dry Sandpaper for sanding your polymer clay beads and pendants to produce a smooth soft finish. Also can be used for sanding other artwork or furniture. This paper is a silicon carbide, closed coat product bonded with a waterproof resin.
Sanding Tips for Polymer Clay use:
Always sand your beads with water. Start with 400 grit, and work down to finer grits - 1200 grit is the finest. If you are going to buff your piece to finish it after sanding then you can stop at 800 grit, however if you are not buffing then it is best to go all the way to 1200 and then rub your piece on a piece of rough cloth afterwards to bring up a nice shine. If your piece is very rough then you would need to start on a coarser grit - 240 grit before moving to the finer 400 grit.
