SFJL10 10mm 14ga Sterling Silver Filled Locking Jumprings
Our Silver-Filled products are Silver, mechanically bonded to a brass core. The bonded silver exterior is hundreds of times thicker than plated products. Silver-Filled has the perceived value of Sterling Silver at approximately 50% of the cost. Silver-Filled has the same characteristics as Sterling Silver: wrap it, link it, solder it, embellish it.
10mm 14ga (1.6mm diameter wire) Sterling Silver Filled Jumplocks (open jumprings which lock)
Jumplocks are easy to use jumprings that lock securely into place with a simple twist of the wrist. Here is how they work - 1) Use two smooth nylon jaw chainnose pliers and grip the sides of the jumplock at the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions, with the opening at the top. 2) Holding the left side steady twist the right side of the ring a quarter turn away from you. 3) Place your chain, charm or finding onto the jumplock 4) While continuing to hold the left side steady twist the right side of the ring back towards you a quarter turn past the closed position. 5) Begin to bring your jumplock into the closed position. As you twist very gently push the right side in just enough to make sure that the edges of the two ends make contact with each other. As you reach the closed position you will hear a click! 6) Twist the right side back & forth very slightly to align the two ends and finish hardening the metal into the closed position.
